Ramallah – October 11: The Palestinian Working Woman Society for Development (PWWSD) strongly condemns the “horrific massacre” perpetrated by “Arab Coalition” fighter jets a few days ago against the Yemeni people. This was another development in a war that has resulted in hundreds of innocent and unarmed civilian casualties.
PWWSD deplores the state of immoral chaos and disregard for international humanitarian law and human rights standards. As well as the inhumane justifications and excuses given to defend targeting a funeral in a Sana’a neighborhood, where many political, literary, and community leaders and activists were in attendance.
The organization expresses its full solidarity with the Yemeni people and the victims of the massacres committed against innocent men, women, and children. Emphasizing that women usually pay the heaviest price of war.
PWWSD calls on the Arab League, UN Security Council, and all regional and international human rights organizations to work on bringing justice and forming an international commission of inquiry, in addition to an immediate intervention to end all military action targeting the Yemeni people in their own country. As well as working to protect the Yemeni people, and to maintain their national sovereignty and democratic options by ending this ongoing bloodbath.
The organization also calls on all liberation powers and peace-loving nations in the world to show real solidarity with Yemen, and to support its resilience by providing the humanitarian aid needed to achieve its liberation and democratic self-determination.
End of statement.
