PWWSD Condemns Israel’s Commandeering of “Zaytouna-Oliva” and Deporting Its Activists

Ramallah – October 6: The Palestinian Working Woman Society for Development (PWWSD) strongly condemns the barbaric Israeli assault against the Zaytouna-Oliva vessel that was headed towards the Gaza Strip, with 30 female activists of various nationalities with the aim of breaking the illegal 10-year Israeli siege of the Gaza Strip.

PWWSD notes that the Israeli occupation forces commandeering the Zytouna-Oliva vessel reflects the Israeli state’s entrenched violence, aggression, crimes, and violations against our people and whoever stands in solidarity with them.

The organization calls on the international community to quickly mobilize and end the occupation’s violations and crimes, and force it to lift the siege over the Gaza Strip, which continues to cause more daily pain and suffering for our people.

PWWSD expresses its pride and appreciation of the international solidarity movement for standing with our people and it’s just cause, emphasizing the importance of the “Zaytouna-Oliva” initiative by international activists in brining worldwide attention to Israeli violations of human rights in Palestinian Territories, and its oppressive siege of the Gaza Strip.
